Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Newspilot uses on newspilot.io, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They're widely used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and provide aggregated analytics. We also use similar technologies including localStorage and sessionStorage.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
np_consent |
Strictly necessary | Records your cookie-consent preference so we don't keep asking. | 12 months |
np_session |
Strictly necessary | Maintains your session while signed into the app. | Session |
np_csrf |
Strictly necessary | Protects against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| Plausible analytics | Analytics (cookieless) | Privacy-friendly usage analytics. Does not set cookies; does not track individuals across sites. | n/a |
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell or share data with third-party advertisers. We do not use cross-site tracking.
3. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preference at any time using the link in the page footer, or by clicking the button below:
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled. You can also configure your browser to block cookies. Doing so will not prevent you from browsing the marketing site but may affect functionality if you also use the Newspilot app.
4. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to interpret DNT, Newspilot does not currently respond to DNT signals. We achieve the same outcome by limiting our use of cookies to strictly necessary ones and using cookieless analytics.
5. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision.
